Welcome to the Video benchmarking and information website.  The primary purpose of this website is to help video editors build cost effective computers that edit video and create 3D animations in an efficient manner by answering the following questions:

Although this site was initially created to benchmark MSP 6.0, I occasionally write reviews (see above) and plan to benchmark other software such as Ulead's Cool3D Studio, which is a 3D animation software that requires enormous cpu power for adequate performance.  If you are new to video editing/animation be sure to have a look at the FAQ.

I also have a "how to" book and training DVD available for Ulead's DVD Workshop 2.0, a program I consider to be the most powerful and easiest to use DVD authoring application.  My training DVD can be found here and the VASST book titled "Instant DVD Workshop 2.0" may be found here.

News -May 1st, 2004

I have simplified the site a bit.  I plan to add a Ulead Cool3D test script in the near future.  I've been working with this program lately, it is very cool, and it really consumes cpu power!

I've also posted some "final" results regarding MSP7 performance based on my observations over the past year.

If anyone has an AMD Athlon 64 or an Intel Prescott P4 I would appreciate it if you would run the test and submit your scores.
