Hyperactive is a New Jersey Shore-based band that plays an eclectic mix of dance music. The songs styles we play include pop, rock, alternative, funk, soul, and ska. Update - March 12, 2008 - Hyperactive returns to The Headliner on April 18
It's been a while since we've played the Headliner in Belmar but we will be returning on the annual "VIP" night on Friday April 18. We'll be playing sets 2 and 4 with another band "Rock Steady." As you can imagine we love playing the Headliner. Huge stage, great sound system, big club with indoor and outdoor venues and lots of great people that frequent the club. The live music starts at 8:30PM. We're really looking forward to this one!

March 5, 2008 - Just Jake's on Saturday, Hoboken date in May
The Just Jake's show should be a good one this Saturday. A lot of people have been asking for the Eminem Medley so that one will be in the set list as well as a new Jay Z song, a cool Roxy music song, as well as a bunch of other songs we haven't played in a while. I've also updated the website with a few more summer dates and a Hoboken date at the Whiskey Bar on Saturday May 3.

January 15, 2008 - New Players, New Dates
It's been quite a while since I've updated the schedule. We are starting to get the spring and summer dates together. I will be adding more dates in the coming weeks. We have located a couple of very talented keyboard players that you will be seeing with the band. Chris Guestelle is a seasoned professional that brings a style of playing that is very complementary to Hyperactive. Tony Nardini is another very accomplished player that brings some really excellent background vocals. We look forward to playing with both of them!

October 9, 2007 - Lee Leaves for Colorado
Our longtime keyboard player extraordinaire Lee Standford has decided to try out a new environment and has moved to Colorado. Lee has been with Hyperactive since he graduated High School in 1997. Well versed in classical and jazz playing Lee has been a key player (no pun intended) in the band since joining. We will miss him both on stage and off and wish him the best. If you've been watching the band for a number of years you'll remember the energetic renditions of Metallica's "One" and Limp Bizkit's "Faith" that Lee used to perform. As a side note those were the only times in Hyperactive's history that anyone beside Joe has taken center stage in the band. As you might expect the recent hiatus from playing is due to the band bringing in a new keyboard player. - Mark
